History:
| SCARLET WITCH WIKIA
| WANDAVISION WIKI

Abilities:
( due to the nature of Wanda's inherent op-ness, I've written a more thorough outline of her abilities here )

PSIONICS >> In the universe there are six Infinity Stones that manage the order of the universe. One such stone is the Mind stone. This stone found its way into the scepter of the god Loki, and then finally into the hands of a terrorist organization known as HYDRA. After radicalizing Wanda and her twin brother Pietro’s hatred of Stark and America, HYDRA convinced the twins to allow themselves to exposure to the scepter for experimentation purposes. The twins survived exposure, thus surviving prolonged interactions with the Mind stone. These interactions left Wanda and Pietro with special abilities, making them enhanced people.

For Wanda, her abilities were that of psionics. ( note: it is later revealed that these abilities were likely inherent to Wanda already, and simply amplified by the Mind stone instead. this suggests why Wanda and her brother were the only two survivors of experimentation. ) Wanda’s psionic abilities include a physical component in the form of telekinesis and a mental one in the form of telepathy.

SCARLET WITCH >> Unknown to Wanda previously, Wanda is not simply a psionic user whose abilities came from the Mind stone. Revealed by Agatha, Wanda is a witch and always has been. The Mind stone simply enhanced her natural abilities. As a witch, Wanda not only has the above abilities, but also the ability to cast spells. Currently, many of Wanda’s spells are done intuitively. She simply desires, and the spell manifests somehow. This tends to have its drawbacks, however, as Wanda’s spells can have gaps or errors in them that make them imperfect due to her lack of knowledge in that she was even performing spells and how spells naturally work.

Not only is Wanda a witch, though. Wanda is a prophesied witch known as the Scarlet Witch. Little is yet known about the Scarlet Witch, but it is revealed it is a witch of great power due to her chaos magic capabilities. This implies how Wanda is able to work so many spells with so little knowledge, as her magic is naturally wild and chaotic. While knowledge would not hinder her abilities, it is not always necessary in her situation. Ultimately, this kind of magic is dangerous. Agatha refers to Wanda as the Harbinger of Chaos, implying that Wanda will one day bring destruction through her magic.

In the meantime, Wanda has shown the following capabilities due to her magic:
SPELLCRAFT : Wanda is shown to be able to cast a number of spells. Two important, but more minor spells, include a protection spell and a probability spell.

REALITY MANIPULATION : There are a large number of spells that happen here, which is what draws Agatha’s attention in the first place. At its core, however, Wanda has the ability to manipulate the reality around her. This allows her to, in conjunction with her mental manipulation, to alter a town into behaving and looking like a whole new reality. This reality moves through decades at a quick pace stylistically, while everyone remains as they are age-wise. The reality imitates a sitcom show, showing just how far Wanda’s manipulation can reach. Some of the following show how her reality manipulation works all together to create these new realities: transmutation, conjuration, electricity spells, fire spells, temporal, etc.

MAGICAL ENERGY ABSORPTION : In her battle with Agatha, Wanda learns how to harness the energy from Agatha when fighting. When Agatha throws energy at Wanda, she can take it and absorb it in order to amplify her own abilities.

ASTRAL PROJECTION : Shown at the end of the series, Wanda is able to move about freely while she projects her Scarlet Witch self in midair studying spellcraft. Wanda seems to have control over both versions of herself, and is able to multitask while doing this.

SKILLS >> Outside of her abilities and magic, Wanda has natural skills she has come by through either natural talents or training and hard work. These include:
COMBAT : Wanda is trained for combat both lingo relating to combat and training in hand to hand fighting. Wanda is shown to be a capable fighter.

SURVEILLANCE : Avengers training also included teaching Wanda how to perform surveillance and reconnaissance. This includes what to look for, how to relay information, and how to use this information. She has a passing capability with this skill.

GUITARIST : Having spent a lot of time alone in the Avengers base, Wanda is shown to have an acoustic guitar in her bedroom that she likely practices with.

BILINGUAL : Wanda can speak her native language, Sokovian, as well was fluent English.

COOKING : Used to making her own meals, Wanda has the ability to cook a decent dinner either by hand or with the aid of her powers.

Questionnaire:

1. What do they care deeply about? What kind of loyalties, commitments, moral codes, life philosophies, passions, callings or spirituality and faith do they have? How do these tend to be expressed?
Wanda cares deeply about people.

After the loss of her parents in a traumatic way, Wanda has always cared deeply about the people around her. This applies to both those closest to her and those she wants to help in the world. After her parents death, Wanda is easily misled by the group, Hydra, into believing that freeing people of their own freedoms will help to end wars. When Hydra ultimately falls apart, Wanda then turns to Ultron who promises to help rid the world of it's problems. It isn't until she sees that he intends to do so by killing all people in the world that Wanda sees she has been used yet again. When she joins the Avengers, Wanda finds a positive outlet for her desire to help people, however when trying to save people from a bomb that goes off she accidentally hurls it into another group of people and causes an international incident. Wanda's life is full of attempts to protect and save people from the dangers of the world, even if at times it can be misguided.

Then there's the people closest to Wanda. Her deceased parents, her deceased brother Pietro, her deceased beloved Vision, and her undone children Billy and Tommy. These people tie Wanda securely to reality when things go wrong. So when things go wrong with them individually, Wanda loses her own grip with reality even just briefly. This leads to more misguided attempts to save the people she loves most in her life and bring them back to her. The result is hijacking a city full of people to put under her spell and create a perfect sanctuary for those she's lost and herself. In her mind, she's also created a perfect society for the people to live in. Giving them happiness and peace.

The reality, of course, is much darker in that she's taken free will of people. Yet again, another misguided attempt.

When Wanda's deep and personal connection to people clashes between her close loves and the people at large, Wanda will always do the right thing when push comes to shove. She'll make the decision to kill Vision. She'll undo her own children to set free a town of people. Wanda needs her close people to ground her, but she needs to not make people suffer as she has even more.

2. What kind of person could they become in the future? What are some developmental paths that they could take: best, worst, most likely?
For Wanda, she has two major paths ahead of her. One path is one foretold in prophecy, and ultimately the worst path, and the other is the one she will forge for herself.

While still new to learning the prophecy herself, Wanda has learned that it was foretold there would be a chaos witch such as her. The Scarlet Witch. Her magic would earn her the title Harbinger of Destruction. Wanda is a prophesied force of destruction in the world. Her magic is powerful, but the chaos it stems from is unpredictable and thus dangerous. Her power limits are unknown, making her the focal point of power that no one person should ever have. But she has it all the same, forged not born into it.

This leaves Wanda with her second path, the one she will forge herself. There's no question about it, because Wanda refuses to become the destruction she is prophesied to be.

Wanda wants to be a force of good in the world. She wants to use her powers to help people most like her. To do so, she needs control of her powers. Understanding. Wanda's best path, currently, is through this search of knowledge and discovery. She needs time alone, time away from protecting the world, to discover herself and understand her magic. So that she can use it more responsibly and more willfully than she has in the past. For Wanda, this is not only the best case scenario, but also the only scenario. The other path she refuses to let herself go down, and when she sets her mind to something nothing can stop her.

3. How do they behave within a group? What role(s) do they take? Does this differ if they know and trust the group, versus finding themselves in a group of strangers? Why?
Thanks to being a part of a superhero team, Wanda is strong in a group. She tends to understand her role best in comparison to those around her, and slide into a dynamic near seamlessly. She knows how best not to step on others toes, and how to learn the strengths and weaknesses of her companions to best complement them. It may take time to do so, but she certainly can with a little effort.

Inside of a group, Wanda tends to be more of a follower if a strong leader is immediately evident. If not, she will do her best to lead herself. This is from years as a superhero, and not wishing to leave any group floundering. She understands the need for a leader, but also understands she is not always the best one for the job. She just knows better than to leave a group to struggle without one. As for herself, she does best falling behind a strong voice and supporting that person. She knows her powers well enough, and tends to be the heavy hitter. However, she knows she does best under direction of people who understand the field much better than her. So she will default to following those that seem to know better.

For her, this doesn't differ too much whether she knows the group or not. She may act warily, but she will follow a group if needed. At least until she has her answers about who she's following. After her history following the wrong people, she does act more cautiously and tries to learn more quickly than she has in the past. It won't stop her from following if it seems everything is in line with her personal values, but she does leave easy outs if she sees anything slightly off.

4. What do they need and want out of relationships, and how do they go about getting it?
Wanda needs stability in a relationship. Wanda leads a tumultuous life full of intrigue and danger. Even worse, her own powers instill fear in many. While she can understand the why behind this, Wanda needs people in her life who don't fear her. People who will stand by her when the worst comes to bear. She needs people who will give her the chance and not treat her like a monster for having abilities that are sometimes beyond even her control. She has spent too much time fearing her own self to surround herself by people who treat her the same.

This does not make Wanda the easiest person to be around, unfortunately. Wanda can push the limits of her friends, or even those that just want to help her. Wanda can be a stubborn person, and knowing that no one understands her powers any more than she does means she's just as likely not to listen to others. That does mean that sometimes people have to push their way through to her. Monica has to try over and over again to reach Wanda, insisting that she knows Wanda's truth. Wanda doesn't hear Monica at first, believing her to be just like everyone else and fearing her. However, it becomes clear later that Monica does understand where Wanda is coming from. This causes Wanda to trust the woman more, even speaking with her after she frees Westview from her control.

Having faith in Wanda can be the clearest way to earn her trust, which means sticking with her when she pushes boundaries she likely she shouldn't to test that faith can be difficult. But the reward is one of the truest friendships someone will ever find, as Wanda can be a deeply devoted person to people who trust her.

5. How do they understand the world–what kind of worldview and thought processes do they have? Why?
For Wanda, she's always seen the world and herself a certain way. There are people in it who don't care about those further below them. And their are people in it who will hurt those below them, intentionally or not. This was an inherent truth to Wanda. That there are simply bad people who cannot be changed.

However, recent years have taught Wanda differently. Tony Stark and his weapons always seemed a villain to the young woman who lost her parents to one. Yet upon meeting the man she's realized that he's more complex than that, and the situation more nuanced. Wanda has learned to be patient, to wait for those complexities and nuances to reveal themselves.

This especially applies as she's similar now. She used to be a "certain way" as she refers to it, and now she sees herself in this other way. She understands that people can change, and that that change may not always be apparently good or bad. But that doesn't mean that people don't deserve a chance. That's how she tends to process the world, by understanding that nothing is ever just one way. And that if she waits patiently enough, she'll understand more of it. With what she understands, she can make a more informed decision.

6. How much do they rely on their minds and intellect, versus other approaches like relying on instinct, intuition, faith and spirituality, or emotions?
Wanda is fueled by instinct and intuition. She may be patient enough to let the world inform these at times, but at other times she acts purely on these feelings without hesitation. Even if she waits, she doesn't process through empirical knowledge, but through what her gut tells her from what she's learned.

This drive of instinct stems from her powers, in all reality. From the time she was a little child, Wanda activated her powers in a way that saved the life of herself and her brother. Wanda never knew what she did, at least not until very recently. But still the seed was planted deep inside of her from that moment. She learned to act on instinct, to wield her powers and her intuition to guide her daily life. As her both developed, she learned only more to rely on her intuition more than anything else.

That isn't to say that knowledge can't cause Wanda to change, only that sometimes she acts before she thinks something all the way through.

7. What is something others might find intolerable about them?
Wanda is stubborn. It's a rough quality in a woman that has so much power. When she sets her mind to a thing, she can be almost impossible to change. That doesn't mean she is entirely impossible, it only means she can seem it. Because Wanda has such power, she can also wield it to defend her side of things to a near dangerous degree. When Monica confronts Wanda with reality, Wanda uses her powers to shove Monica out of her reality, effectively silencing all conversation with her. This can be a really difficult trait to deal with in a woman so powerful.

Outside of that, she also really loves sitcoms. Especially from the 50's. So enjoy watching old tv with her if she ever gets her hands on one.

Why are you interested in this game? The game appeals to me because Wanda isn't a typical superhero. She isn't perfect, and in fact calls herself out as potentially being a villain. While at her heart, Wanda is a good person, she makes questionable decisions. Coming from WandaVision, Wanda is fresh off one of her major questionable decisions. This leaves her in a vulnerable place looking inward at herself. Polymythos provides the perfect setting to help Wanda evaluate who she is, and find her way back to the path she most wants to be on.
